Td1.5 Td2.5 Td3.5 BD Series Dual Displacement Motor is also based off the GM Series but incorporates the innovative central bearing.
The shift from one displacement to the other is achieved by pilot pressure acting on a crank shaft eccentric. This ensures a smooth transition when shifting from one speed to the other.
BD Series also tolerate freewheeling in full cavitation as with other models. If run as a pump they can also reach full speed in low displacement.
The motors are capable of working at low speeds with a high degree of speed stability.
Output torque remains constant and does not fall away at very low speeds, on start up or in stall conditions. BD2 offers 100% to 50 % speed change ratio while BD1 offers 100 % to 25%.
The BD series of products consists of items that are available in sizes from 1 to 6, being characterized by slide bearings and an extremely low friction coefficient. The very high starting torque efficiency and the mechanical efficiencies that are higher than average are other important features worth mentioning, and are applicable in both low and high displacement models. The motors are capable of working at low speeds with a high degree of speed stability, with the minimum stable speed depending on the motor displacement.
The output torque remains very constant and does not fall away at very low speeds, under start or stall conditions. The change of the motor displacement is achieved by changing the crankshaft stroke, at a pressure between 20 and 30bar. The change from high to low displacement or from low to high can take place dynamically. Feature of piston motor.
1. It reduces friction loss in force transmission because of no side force between piston and swing cylinder, hydrostatic balance designed in piston foot, transferring torque force through roller bearing. GM series hydraulic motors have high mechanical efficiency and high starting torque.
2. Flat distributor is simple, reliable and good seal, little leakage, no leakage between piston and swing cylinder through using plastic seal ring, so there motors have high volumetric efficiency.
3. Because of reducing friction loss in configuration, improving seal ability, these motors have good characteristic of low speed stability, can run steadily in 1 R/MIN condition, and have large speed range.
4. There is no gap between piston and bearing cover connected by ring clip, so these series motors can run as pump and can run with high speed when inlet is sealed.
5. There series motors have high pressure, with the Max. Pressure 45Mpa, light weight, small volume, high power.
6. Simple configuration, reasonable design, using high loaded bearing, so they have reliable performance, long life, low noise, transmission shaft can bear radial load, and can rotate in opposite direction.

Hydraulic fluid:
Before starting project planning, please refer to our data sheets RE 90220 (mineral oil), RE 90221 (environmentally acceptable hydraulic fluids) and RE 90223 (HF hydraulic fluids) for detailed information regarding the choice of hydraulic fluid and application conditions. The variable pump A4VG is unsuitable for operation with HFA, HFB and HFC. If HFD or environmentally acceptable hydraulic fluids are being used, the limitations regarding technical data and seals mentioned in RE 90221 and RE 90223 must be observed. When ordering, please indicate the used hydraulic fluid.
